Essence

Consider the following Gedankenexperiment, which follows the rules of relativistic theory: some spaceship takes off from its station in space and accelerates up to close enough to the speed of light to feel sure enough relativistic. Then it turns off the engine and releases a clock into space: obviously – if you believe in time dilation – that clock must strike slower than any of the clocks left home. Next, the star ship turns around and accelerates right back towards home base – same procedure read backwards. And again we compare the clocks, when the ship has turned off its engine and is back and at rest again with respect to its space station.

There are three clocks now to watch and compare:
(1) any clock left home in the space station,
(2) the clock left in space before turning around,
(3) some clock coming back home with the space ship.

Obviously, by the same argument as before, a clock returning on board of the ship (3) must now strike slower than the clock it left floating in space (2); and that clock, in turn, went slower than the clocks left at home base (1) by the very same factor.

In other words, the official reception of brave astronauts on their return will be held at two quite different speeds of time at a time.

When I presented this kind of a bad joke (?!) to a senior scientist at the Max Planck Institute of Physics and Astrophysics in my town, he replied: that’s correct as a result of theory, but you know why the clocks are synchronized after all on return? Simply because that must be so. So what – full stop; and he stayed so visibly ultra cool that it made me understand the truth about what they call science today, after it fell to relativism, in the very moment: the essence of so-called modern – i.e. relativistic – physics is pure charlatanism.
